Bathroom Magic Discusses Wainscoting for the Bathroom
You’ve probably seen wainscoting in many homes before, but may not know what it is. Wainscoting is a type of decorating term that describes a wood paneling that covers the bottom half of a wall. Our very own Linda Fennessy here at Bathroom Magic spoke with NorthJersey.com about using wainscoting for your kitchen, but we want address how it’s also great for your bathroom.
If you have a country themed bathroom, “The distressed wood can enhance the rustic look, complement white cabinets or emphasize the beauty of any wood grain. [Bathroom Magic] offers several color combinations designed to add a rich texture to the room.”
"We have our own color we call Secret, which is a maple wood with brown glaze," said Linda Fennessy, marketing manager for [Bathroom] Magic. "Classic cherry with black also is popular. Most wainscoting can be done in either wood or laminate."
Wainscoting can be used for many different purposes in your bathroom. If you currently have 70’s style tile covering the bottom of your bathroom walls, wainscoting can be added over it for an updated look. Also, "A particularly stunning use of wainscoting is to use it in the back of a cabinet that has glass doors," Fennessy said.
